Golden Plains' 18th birthday extravaganza has been officially announced, with a lineup suitably as refined, eccentric and chaotic as one might expect at such a celebration.

The festival, first started in 2007 and set in the iconic Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, has long stood as a sort of younger sibling to older sister Meredith, but still just as celebrated. Set on the Labour Day weekend for Victoria, the festival occurs over two days, two nights and a single stage, focused entirely on its eclectic programming.

In Golden Plains' own words, "Heaven-sent and custom-cut to trace each undulation of an epic long weekend in the Supernatural-est Amphitheatre on earth. All on the one and only stage. Mother nature on the lights."

Outside of Mother Nature's role in next year's event, overnight, Golden Plains announced its lineup for 2026.

That lineup includes a variety of icons, including the live show of UK duo Basement Jaxx, set to include all manner of singers, dancers and much more, along with Cut Copy, who have recently released their seventh studio album 'Moments', as well as a DJ set from Crazy P, carrying on the legacy of their act after the tragic passing of singer Danielle Moore in 2024.

Guests can expect to see performances from OK Williams, Djrum, Paquita Gordon, Sidney Phillips, François K, Marlon Williams, Obongjayar, and many more.

This year, Golden Plains takes place from Friday, March 7, to Sunday, March 9. Its ballot's second round is currently open for registration, closing at 10:18pm AEST, Monday, October 20.
