10 Years of Moonshoe, the Gadigal Land/Sydney label marks a major milestone

Much beloved label, mix series, and promoter Moonshoe has this week announced grand plans to celebrate its 10th birthday, with a “day ‘til dawn do” set to take place across two spots in Gadigal Land/Sydney’s Inner West.

The brand, run by local producer and DJ Cousin, aka Jackson Fester, has, for the last decade, dedicated itself to the platforming of music, people and spaces, with a shared reverence for artistic expression and community values, rather than chasing any limelight.

It’s this shared vision among peers, both local and global, that has enabled Moonshoe to collaborate with a large number of cultural leaders in modern electronic music.

Across its 30-episode mix series and 23 releases, this includes Priori, Lauren Hansom, Roza Terenzi, OK EG, Darcy Justice, RAMZi, Command D, Setwun, Pjenné, Sanguine, Freda, and many more.

For its milestone birthday celebration, Moonshoe invites a who’s who of its alumni, family and friends to two venues across its home in Gadigal Land’s Inner West.

That sees Freda, Oedura, RAMZi, Angus Mills, Casey & Eddy, Natalie Lawrence, Hugh B & Setwun (Live), all hosted by MC Telepathy, alongside a highly anticipated b2b2b (or f2f2f) between three of the Fester family, Command D, Ben Fester and Cousin himself, for the first time.

“Feeling grateful to have so many of the foundational Moonshoe family and friends in check for this one - Also thankful to have connected with so many across our community over these last years…

…special treat or two for early attendees of this one, too,” Moonshoe shared in their announcement.

Tickets to ‘10 Years Of Moonshoe’ are available now, both as individual day and night tickets, as well as a combination ticket to provide access across both venues, 3PM till 4AM.
