Vivid shares its extensive 2026 lineup

The close of the Australian summer’s festival season is often marked with another series of arguably even larger announcements, and this year, that period kicks off yet again with the lineup for Gadigal Land/Sydney’s Vivid.

Each year, lineups for the citywide takeover has become a key moment in Australia’s musical calendar. This year, taking place from May 22 to June 13 the event will mark an influential moment in Australia’s modern musical landscape, set to inspire shows and tours around the same period.

For Vivid, modern electronic music has become an increasing presence. Across events at the Sydney Opera House, Carriageworks, City Recital Hall and countless others, Vivid’s contemporary music offering is at one of its largest in 2026.

For the Sydney Opera House’s Vivid Live series, that sees the likes of Jeff Mills celebrating the 30th anniversary of his ‘Liquid Room’ live release, Erika de Casier performing live with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Astral People’s takeover of the entire Opera House on May 27 for its 15th birthday, including performances from alumni Flying Lotus, Gil Scott-Heron and Yasiin Bey, Moonflower Suite, TOKiMONSTA and Oneman.

Sydney Opera House’s Studio Party series sees some of its biggest acts yet also, including the first ever Studio event run by Fanático Records and Moral Laxa, featuring none other than one and only DJ Sprinkles.

So too, DUNJ, Barney Kato and Mad Racket Return, welcoming the likes of Carrier, Yushh, Luca Lozano b2b Mr Ho, Kal Alcé, and many more across their respective events.

At Carriageworks, the industrial precinct is set to host hip hop icon Lil’ Kim, the debut edition of FOR YOUR SAFE KEEPING by local-turned-global artist Skin On Skin, the return of Alison Wonderland’s Wonderland Warehouse Project, Porter Robinson and many more.

Outside of that, the likes of Purelink, Saint Levant, Daniel Avery, Chanel Beads, SHAUN, Boy Soda and countless others will take the stage across Gadigal Land’s city.

Last year, many artists pulled out of Vivid over its partnership with Airbnb, and the company’s “documented history of listing properties in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank,” as shared in a statement by artists at the time.

This year however, Vivid’s website appears not to list Airbnb as one of its partners, nor at this stage any other companies or brands on the list of targeted organisations by the Boycott Divest Sanction (BDS) movement.

With such a large lineup, and excluding Sydney exclusive performances, it’s to be expected that Vivid and RISING’s bookings will ripple across to other events too, including Dark MOFO and other tours around the country.
