The Presets curate ‘Foreverafter’, featuring friends old & new

One of Australia’s most iconic electronic duos is back with a brand-new offering of a very different kind. ‘Foreverafter’ is a national tour concept, conceived and curated by none other than The Presets, who are also set to co-headline.

Across Naarm/Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Gadigal Land/Sydney’s Carriageworks and Meanjin/Brisbane’s Riverstage, The Presets are bringing a slew of friends new and old for what they’re calling “the ultimate party”.

Featuring the likes of Cut Copy and Ladyhawke, former Modular label-mates and pioneers of an Australian sound still rippling through modern pop and dance, the lineup for ‘Foreverafter’ is a who’s who of Australian electronic music.

Joining them are none other than Bag Raiders, early noughties party crew-turned-local icons Bang Gang, as well as Mixmag ANZ Cover Artist FUKHED.

“We came up playing shows with most of these artists. And looking back, it was a pretty unique scene, so it will be great to celebrate the spirit of that era with some killer shows!” Cut Copy’s Dan Whitford shared.

Having built a career on energy, scoring several ARIA awards and a run of both gold and platinum releases, the duo are no strangers to striving for perfection. In undertaking ‘Foreverafter’, however, they’re set to use what they learned on stage to help define everything around it.

Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes shared their vision for ‘Foreverafter’ very simply:

“We’ve made a racket alongside most of these artists for years, onstage and off. This is our idea of the ultimate party. We’ve all talked about it forever, so it’s time.”

In executing their plan, The Presets have brought on board Sahara Herald, someone long behind the scenes of Big Day Out’s original ‘Boiler Room’.

“I loved this concept and the intrinsic sense of camaraderie from the moment Kim and Jules first floated their ideal lineup to us,” she shared. “These artists all create sounds which have made, and continue to make, waves that will last forever.”

‘Foreverafter’ is set to take place on Sunday, January 17 in Naarm, Saturday, January 23 on Gadigal Land and Saturday, January 30 in Meanjin.

Frontier Members can access the tour’s presale from Monday, July 6 at 1 PM local time, with general on-sale beginning on Tuesday, July 7 at 2 PM local time.
