Sonder returns for Easter 2027 with Egyptian Lover and Bradley Zero
The independent Tallarook-based camping festival returns to Taungurung Country over Easter 2027, pairing an international crate-digger bill with a deep run of local live acts.
With the 2026 summer season not even here yet, Victorian festival Sonder has already revealed its hand for 2027, announcing the lineup for its fourth highly anticipated edition.
Produced by Naarm/Melbourne promoters 188 Naarm, Sonder returns to its home at Tallarook, on the lands of the Tangurung Peoples, roughly 75 minutes north of the city centre. As is now tradition, it takes place once again across the Easter long weekend, this year from Friday, March 26 to Monday, March 29.
Three editions in, the festival has quickly grown to become a tantalising calendar moment for many. With a focus on daytime programming, Sonder has brought together a variety of well-respected local and international acts across many pockets of dance and electronically-inclined live music over the years.
For 2027, that lineup takes a similar approach to variety, and without pushing into the early hours, Sonder clearly hopes to captivate its audience with more sunset-friendly music.
This coming year, that international contingent leads towards artists with deeper selections rather than big-room appeal. Egyptian Lover brings four decades of 808-driven electro, while Bradley Zero is joined by fellow Rhythm Section affiliate Wallace, who goes b2b with California-born, Berlin-based Gene On Earth. Detroit-raised, London-based Semi Delicious boss Demi RiquÃsimo adds his acid and Italo-tinged house, while Kenji Hina goes b2b with local Ned Bennett.
Locally, Sonder has doubled down on live performance, with more than a dozen live acts on the bill. They include Alice Payne, Gut Health, Guy Contact, Pretty Girl, Miles Nautu, Poli-Pearl, De Porsal, d2motor, Dai, Ciccio!, Gusto Gusto, Jerry, Supa Kameleon, Tjaka and Aotearoa/New Zealand's DOCJOC.
The bill also features two curated showcases. Opportunities Limited brings bbsanii, CO, JUPiTA and Lost City Rhythm, while Naarm venue Solace hosts Charlie, Silk Cut Jaguar and Soliloquy (Live).
The wider bill includes trusted local artists Adriana, Ayebatonye, Brown Suga Princess, C.FRIM, Cousin, Mothafunk, Pjenne, zacattacq and many more, with further names still to come.
Presale registration is now open via the festival's website.
