Fan favourite festival Soma returns with lineup for its 2026 event

Fan favourite festival Soma returns to Nacki Nacki Farm on Wiradjuri Country, Mount Adrah for its third and biggest instalment yet, from November 6 to 9, 2026.

The event, comfortably and confidently skirting the line between doof and festival, has in only two years thus far demonstrated its ability to bring together some of the most musically considerate punters the country has to offer, paired with a curatorial touch that feels purposefully at odds with the ‘main stage fever’ gripping so many other events.

In sharing our most anticipated Soma sets from last year, Mixmag ANZ noted that “trust is a term with greater currency than ever before, and not just when it comes to the cost of admission.” A year on, that sentiment has only become more pertinent.

This year, Soma hopes to prove that trust once again with a bill stacked with some of the country’s most exciting producers, DJs and heritage live acts, with an exciting and tasteful smattering of overseas talents to boot.

That includes selectors like Ivy, Dolly, Pjenne, Unpin, galiba, Marley Swain, Bridget Small & Nick Ure, Selena and others, alongside the hiatus-ending appearances of the likes of Boorloo’s Nina BC and Gadigal land’s Nat James.

Live sets by Mixmag ANZ Cover Artist Cousin, cinematic bass head Aarti Jadu alongside Weyón, and pioneering electro-icon Reptant, as well as a variety of local bands, both new and old. That sees the improvisational jazz stylings of Manfredo Lament meet the early naughties duo HTRK, Blue Communications and Muloobinba supergroup Th Blisks.

Internationally, Soma’s offering may appear minimal compared to other festivals that seemingly hope to book as many as possible, but what the festival exchanges for quantity is quality.

That welcomes Boorloo’s Mike Midnight teaming up with The Lot Radio’s deep creep, her NYC neighbour Kiernan Laveaux, German chug maestro Vladimir Ivkovic, Italy’s Piezo and a much anticipated return to Australia for French producer Simo Cell, debuting his live set for the first time, hopefully alongside his puppet compatriot, FL Louis.

While Soma’s programming has become a reason to attend even before the lineup is shared, as evidenced by their tickets already having moved before the announcement, the festival takes clear pride in everyone who is there, and not just on the stage.

In a statement shared yesterday, Soma shared that, “the weekend is shaped as much by the people who attend as the program on stage. Collective care is at the centre of how Soma works, and has been from the start.”
