Rhythm & Vines shares its first lineup announce for 2025

While Australia's NYE festivals have dominated headlines over the last week with lineup announcements, it's Aotearoa/New Zealand's turn, kicking off with the first announcement from much-loved Rhythm & Vines.

The festival, held at Waiohika Estate in Tairāwhiti/Gisborne, is now in its 23rd year of operation, and set to return from December 28 to December 31st this year.

Since 2003, Rhythm & Vines has shared that over 375,000 punters have joined their New Year's celebration, cementing it as one of the country's most iconic and widely appreciated festivals in its over two decades in operation.

Almost 100 acts are set to grace the stage at this year's event, covering a wide variety of genres with an expected modern focus on dance and electronic music of many kinds.

Its headliners, like a few similarly minded festivals across the Tasman, include Baltimore hardcore group Turnstile, hip hop star Kid Cudi, but with one key difference: the presence of English drum & bass producer Wilkinson.

The festival's love for D&B is evident across a number of its bookings, also set to include the likes of Kanine, Emily Majos, Mozey, Skepsis and Sota across its three days, with Aotearoa producers Pirapus set to showcase the 'F U T U R E' of drum and bass too.

Outside of breaks, Rhythm & Vines has tapped the likes of Mixmag ANZ Cover Artist ATARANGI, Notion, 1tbsp, Swimming Paul, Sam Gellaitry, Ned Bennett, Jane Remover and many more to soundtrack its dance floors too.

The festival has demonstrated its ability to not only bring world-class acts to the shores of Aotearoa but also to use that momentum to help truly make an impact on the country.

Rhythm & Vines has participated in a variety of fundraising efforts in its lifetime, recently raising $40,000 for the Gisborne Mayoral Relief Fund and over $62,500 for Lifeline. This year, the festival is set to focus its efforts on fundraising for SuperGrans Tairāwhiti. This community organisation provides the Tairāwhiti community with life skills, maara kai and cooking workshops, social work and social service navigation.

General release to Rhythm & Vines becomes available from Tuesday, August 26 and 6PM NZT. Registration is now open.

One NZ customers can access a 24-hour ticket offer from 5:30PM NZT until Wednesday, August 27. R&V fans and subscribers can access an exclusive ticket offer from 6:30PM NZT on Wednesday, August 27.
