PREMIERE: DJ PGZ & Yikes mark 1 year of 'Ouss Ouss' with DJ Plead remix
One of 2025's most iconic releases sees a fitting commemorative rework by one of Gadigal Land's most respected.
A year on from the continent-spanning collaboration 'Come Round', the much-revered and celebrated EP by Naarm/Melbourne's DJ PGZ and Boorloo/Perth's Yikes, one of the release's standout tracks has just received a welcome remix by none other than DJ Plead.
One of Mixmag ANZ's 'Favourite Tracks of 2025', 'Ouss Ouss' in its original form oozes with prog-tinged chug, demonstrating both PGZ & Yikes' expertise in tastefully crafted dancefloor hype. At the time of its release, writer Nayuka Gorrie shared of 'Come Round', "these are songs you want to sit in and dance to, and are rewarded for."

Gadigal Land/Sydney-originating producer DJ Plead has achieved a very similar feat on his remix, tipping the sonic hat via no shortage of drum rolls interwoven into the original's prog bass lines.
Where the original blasts into action, Plead's remix utilises many of its elements in a calm build, before truly becoming deserving of sharing the title 'Ouss Ouss'.
Of the track, DJ PGZ & Yikes shared:
“We’ve been huge fans of DJ Plead's production for a hot minute. As soon as the chance came to collaborate on the remix, we had to pull the trigger and ask him. Also really lucky to have it mastered by one of our favourite engineers in Melbourne, Pataphysics."
The track's rework comes right at the cusp of an anniversary show at Naarm's own Miscellania this evening, for no doubt a very memorable debut. Alongside DJ PGZ, Yikes & DJ Plead, the anniversary celebration welcomes a rooftop takeover by diaspora collective
