Premiere: 3NDLES5 - 'Embolo' (feat. SUS1er & Dog99)

Eora/Sydney-based artist 3NDLES5, aka Mitchell Tolman, has today announced a new EP with Naarm/Melbourne producer SUS1er, titled ‘Ballon d’Or’.

Having previously collaborated with Mall Grab, and curated sold out shows for Yung Lean, Ecco2k and Aya Gloomy for this year’s VIVID at the Sydney Opera House, 3NDLES5 is a DIY artist at his core across everything he does.

‘Ballon d’Or’, releasing October 30 and 3NDLES5’ first release via FADER label, is set to be no different. The intense collision of the many subcultures and sounds to which 3NDLES5 and SUS1er belong is set to add to the gritty mystique that surrounds his body of work.

Mixmag ANZ has the pleasure of premiering the first single from the release, ‘Embolo’, a collaboration between the two and Dog99.

Of the new single, 3NDLES5 shares that “‘Embolo’ plays on the idea of a victory lap. Holding up the proverbial Ballon d’Or award… in your old area - look I did it, I made it! My idea of that is just transitioning into a civilian and being ok with that”.

‘Ballon d’Or’ will, in 3NDLES5 words’, “unpack the shady and seedy underbelly of the toxic masculinity, absurdism, addiction and lad culture that bubbles away beneath the city’s Merivale-ified exterior; a raw contusion of creative energy emanating from the heart of Western Sydney, melding rap, drum and bass, grime and post punk.”
