NYE & NYD festival New Year's At The Bowl shares its inaugural lineup
Roza Terenzi, Tornado Wallace, Alex Kassian, Confidence Man, Big Wett, MZRizk & a whole slew of internationals descend on the Sidney Meyer Music Bowl across two days.

NYE festivals are increasingly becoming camping-focused, making it easy to forget that there are still plenty of options closer to home.
The crisis facing Australia’s music festival industry has done nothing to slow the progress of dance and electronic music; however, with a brand new two-day festival at Naarm/Melbourne’s Sidney Meyer Music Bowl acting as the perfect proof.
New Year's At The Bowl is set to take over the iconic space and its surrounding gardens for both NYE and NYD, for two days of some of the best DJs and electronically aligned acts from not only abroad, but right here at home.
With multiple stages across the venue, the event marks an even further deepening of Naarm’s reputation for hosting some of Australia’s most forward-thinking events. The city has long stood as a spiritual home for Australian dance music, given the prevalence and attitudes towards its club ecosystem among many other things, and New Year’s At The Bowl brings that reputation even closer to the city across two days.
Internationally, this sees a slew of hugely successful acts descending on the music bowl for what is an incredibly impressive inaugural bill. This includes Carl Cox delivering a NYE countdown set, Maribou State, Kamma & Masalo, Ross From Friends pres. Bubble Love, Santigold, Bradley Zero, Underworld and many more.
Locally, a series of artists return home from overseas for the occasion, meeting a wide variety of beloved local artists and community leaders. They include Roza Terenzi, Tornado Wallace, Alex Kassian, Confidence Man, Big Wett, MZRizk, Shantan Wantan Ichiban and more.
Of the event, Arts Centre Melbourne’s Melanie Smith shared, “The Sidney Myer Music Bowl,
Australia’s largest purpose-built open-air live music venue, has been an essential part of Melbourne’s entertainment scene since 1959. Right in the heart of the city surrounded by the beautiful Kings Domain gardens, it is the perfect spot to welcome in the new year. We are thrilled to host this exciting event.”
Pre-sale tickets to the event will go on sale from 12PM Monday, September 15, with first release tickets available 12PM Tuesday, September 16.
