New Year’s At The Bowl returns to Naarm for year two & shares its lineup

After a celebrated debut in 2025, Naarm/Melbourne’s New Year’s At The Bowl has announced its return for year two, once again set against the backdrop of its city’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and the surrounding Kings Domain gardens.

The one-day event returns on December 31, with three stages and featuring an even greater contingent of local voices, with each stage designed to speak to a distinct musical identity within the city.

The Bowl brings a main-stage scale befitting a NYE celebration; Garden moving through soul, disco and more; while the 360-degree Sundial sees NYATB pushing into deeper club sounds, with music running till 1:30 AM across the event.

On an international tip, the festival has spared no expense in bringing some of electronic music’s largest names into town. That sees the bill topped by the likes of Major Lazer, Helena Hauff, Todd Terje, Yung Singh and DJ Seinfeld, set to take the festival’s Bowl stage through club-facing techno, to disco, pop-EDM and more, as well as a secret guest set to soundtrack the new year’s countdown.

Locally, the lineup leans just as heavy, with Flight Facilities, Surusinghe, Close Counters, Don West, CC:DISCO!, Miami Horror, Adriana, MzRizk, Maden Lane and Claire O’Brien touching on a huge range of not only Naarm’s but Australia’s musical identity.

PBS FM’s Milo Eastwood is also set to host and soundtrack the Bowl throughout the day, keeping things moving from the afternoon until the clock strikes midnight.

Of the event, promoter Mike Ross said:

"Last year showed how naturally the Bowl and surrounding gardens work for New Year's Eve. This year we're carrying forward the distinct identity of each of our three stages to keep New Year's At The Bowl unmistakably Melbourne: welcoming, musically broad and full of character. The hope is it becomes a New Year's Eve tradition, somewhere that people with different tastes can come together every year."

Arts Centre Melbourne Director of Presenter Services, Glen Hirst, added:

"Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the world's greatest outdoor music venue, has been an essential part of Melbourne's entertainment scene since 1959. Right in the heart of the city surrounded by the beautiful Kings Domain gardens, it is the perfect spot to welcome in the new year. Last year's celebration was a huge hit, and we can't wait to bring New Year's At The Bowl back, bigger and better for round two!"

New Year’s At The Bowl’s pre-sale registration is open now and available to enter via the festival’s website. Limited earlybird GA tickets are available in the presale, which runs from 12 PM AEST Monday, September 7 through to 12 PM AEST Tuesday, September 8.

Punters born on December 31 or January 1 can also apply for a complimentary GA ticket, with discounted ‘Blak Tix’ also available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
