Luude launches his own label, 'No Instruction'
Featuring the release of one of the year's most ID'd tracks.
Drum and bass has never been bigger.
It's almost a stereotype at this point just how much New Zealanders love it, it's had undeniable impact on popular music around the world, and one of Australia's biggest musical exports has developed it into his own signature flavour.
Luude, known by many for his 2021 remix of Men At Work's 'Down Under', which won him countless awards and successes, has today announced the launch of a brand new project, his own label titled 'No Instruction'.

The label launches today with 'Fun In The Sun', featuring Luude's longtime friend and otherwise relatively unknown Perth-based Harry Bee.
“I’m really happy to be launching this imprint with a collab featuring one of my best mates from Australia - having an outlet to do things like this is sick. We’ve got some mental records coming from some of my favourite producers, some parties around the world, we’re doing vinyl and just going back to doing things for the club, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time," Luude shared.

Luude and 'No Instruction's commitment to fun over industry maneuvering has been made immediately clear from the get go, and in focusing on releasing this track with Harry Bee. "The reason [the label] exists is to first and foremost put out shit that [Luude] likes. We were seeing [Fun In the Sun] work in clubs, it's a club label, and whenever someone would post it would get the most IDs. So we were like, "fuck it, why shouldn't that be the tune?" Obviously, you're going to forego little things like release radar and stuff that you get from big collabs, but it just felt like it was there," No Instruction said.
In discussing the hopes for the label in the future, Luude and Gabe Bravo, Luude's collaborative partner, shared that running the label in parallel with Luude's own releases on Warner will allow him a freedom to create, spotlight and share more diverse work than ever before. Vinyl exclusive releases, sporadic events across his home country and the world, and focusing on artists that he truly appreciates it is "is what this label is about".
In addition to 'Fun In The Sun', No Instruction has announced a series of events across the UK, Europe and Australia throughout the remainder of 2024. The inaugural event has been revealed, a secret pop up party at a London location, slated for July 31, will feature Luude, Bushbaby, Efa, Willo and Denham Audio on the bill.
Could these be future members of the No Instruction team? Time will tell.
