GTA VI may include shareable "music-mixing"

While one of the world's most anticipated games of all time, GTA VI, may still be at least an entire year away, detail-hungry gamers and fans are already combing through previous titles and news to get an idea of just what the next instalment in the series may be like.

One such rumour appears to be the presence of a DJ minigame, able to produce shareable mixes.

Reputable among the GTA community, Tez2 is a GTA dataminer who is pioneering this claim. A dataminer is someone who scrapes pages or crawls sites to extract data, and in gaming this is most commonly used to find lost artefacts from games long since released, or to get hints on abandoned content still sitting within the code of the games we love.

Tez2, in a post on gtaforums.com, has claimed that this mixing minigame was originally set to be a part of Rockstar's Record A Studios, & would include "uploading your custom mix or downloading others' mixes, but [this] was shelved. It's being cooked for VI anyways, and we're a year away."

Record A Studios is a recording studio featured in 'The Contract' update for Grand Theft Auto Online. It is owned and operated by Dr. Dre.

Dre's appearance in-game has been cause for many GTA fans, along with Tez2, to speculate hugely on what the future of Record A Studios could be for future GTA releases. Whether this will be available in the sixth instalment in the series or solely on Rockstar's ever popular GTA Online remains to be seen.

Until then, we'll just keep listening to Flylo FM.
