Friends, fans and collaborators pay tribute after passing of Donald's House member James Isaacs

James Isaacs, co-founder of the Naarm/Melbourne duo Donald's House, has passed away.

The news was confirmed by independent artist and touring management group Tangle Agency on Monday, who did so on behalf of his family and friends. "James will be remembered as a dear friend to our team, and his memory will live on with the music he produced. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones," they shared via Instagram.

James was best known for his work as Donald's House, originally a duo with his brother Peter that he later continued solo after Peter became a father. Their music, released on labels such as Wax'o Paradiso, Touch From a Distance, Permanent Vacation, and Not An Animal Records, was revered by many as an incredible combination of disco, Italo disco, balearic, and house.

The announcement has sparked an outpouring of love from not only Naarm's musical community, but also around the globe, clearly touching those who are deeply moved by both James and his music. They include the likes of Harvey Sutherland, Shedbug, Ciel, Bertie, Aldonna, DJ Boring, CC Disco, Pjenné and many others, sharing memories of his music and offering words of support for those close to him.

James' family has, within the comments, thanked those in the community for sharing their love at a time which has been so difficult for them.
