Floating Port Melbourne venue ATET speak out about local council suppression & arson attack

The team behind ATET have started a video series on the suspicious causes behind their early closure.

Nightlife venue ATET opened in in Naarm/Melbourne in 2023 to a strong first run of events. But the floating Port Melbourne venue’s success was soon cut short following a sudden and surprising change of heart by the City Of Melbourne Council that led to the suspension of their trading.

As ATET entered into a legal back and forth with the council, the venue was victim to an arson attack that rendered them unable to reopen.

Now, the team behind ATET have begun sharing their story on social media. On Wednesday, they shared the first instalment in what will likely be a long series dedicated to unraveling the mystery behind the closure of the venue.

With screenshots of court documents and consultation with their lawyers, ATET’s story seems like it wouldn’t be unwelcome on a Netflix special.

Visit ATET’s Instagram to watch the video or follow Mixmag for more coverage as this story unfolds.
