Eora's Dayshift launches their 2nd season with an internationally stacked lineup

Dayshift, the collaborative efforts of four of Eora/Sydney's most trusted crews; Big Ting Recordings, Bouki, DUNJ & Extra Spicy, has announced the first lineup for their second season of events. For their return event they will be collaborating with legendary platform; Rinse FM in celebration of their 30th anniversary celebrations.

The project originally started as a one off event at Eora's Sydney Portugal Community Club, dedicated to providing an exciting and daylight driven outlet for the city's bass communities. A key focus of Dayshift is to provide bass and bass-adjacent music within the context it was produced for. Taking notes from traditional soundsystem culture, no expense is spared on providing high-end and high quality sound systems for each event. Season one featured sound from trusted local names like Buzz Speaker Hire, Translate, Submerge, and the Inner West Reggae Disco Machine, with more guest soundsystems set to come this season.

Dayshift has quickly become known for its focus on production, curation and affordable admission.

“We’re extremely passionate about making this event as affordable as possible for a multi-stage festival-style experience. Our primary mission is to to provide an incredible experience whilst keeping the ticket prices as low as possible so it is accessible for everyone”

Dayshift’s first season featured international names such as Bakey, Breaka, Bluetoof, Denham Audio, Mani Festo, x3Butterfly, Chinese Daughter, as well local heavyweights; dameeeela, Lorna Clarkson, and many more, Dayshift's collaborative pull has been made incredibly clear across all three of their events thus far.

This pull has, excitedly, brought them together with global powerhouse Rinse FM for their first event of season two, which will be the Sydney stop of the Rinse FM 30th Anniversary tour.

The lineup, for their first event of the season, is Dayshift’s biggest to date. IZCO, Capo Lee, and Freshta makeup the Rinse 30th Anniversary lineup, alongside three more internationals, Sister Zo, WIll Hofbauer and Smokey Bubblin’ B. While all previous Dayshift events have existed as standalone, only in hindsight becoming part of a first season, this event kicks off the brand's second full, planned season.

As they look towards season two, taking place on October 26th, Dayshift had this to say:

"We’re hyped for season two! We’ve got some amazing acts locked in for our first event back and for later events in the season. We’ve taken a holistic approach to the season this time round, planning out how each event will sit in the context of the season and considering what styles make the most sense for each of the events. For season 2 we’ve got big plans for production and stage design, which is better enabled by considering all the events as a complete season and not as standalone events.”

Tickets to Dayshift feat. IZCO (UK), Capo Lee (UK), Smokey Bubblin' B (UK) + more are available now.

If you missed out on any of the previous Dayshift events, or you simply can’t wait until the next event, Dayshift provides full AV recordings of everyset from their previous events. Filmed in collaboration with Bassface.tv. You can find these set recordings here.
