Eat The Beat launches new multi-level venue partnership in Naarm’s CBD

After more than a decade featuring in all manner of clubs around Naarm/Melbourne, promoter Eat The Beat is set to enter its next phase as it announces the launch of its brand-new Saturday series.

“Designed to extend beyond the traditional club format”, Eat The Beat’s new venture sees them taking over 546 Collins Street in Naarm’s CBD on a weekly basis.

Eat The Beat’s team is increasingly well-versed in running successful events both at home and overseas. Founder Matteo Belcore already brought over a decade of experience to the brand when it relaunched in Naarm 10 years ago.

Having hosted the likes of Carl Cox, Alok, Nicole Moudaber, Lilly Palmer, Paco Osuna, Space 92, Jamie Jones, Chris Liebing and many more, Eat The Beat is moving into its next stage with plenty of reputation at its back.

Its new venue partnership, located at 546 Collins Street in Naarm’s CBD, boasts a variety of features ready to ensure its immediate success. Perhaps best among those is its 5 am license, Funktion-One sound system and proximity to Southern Cross Station.

The heritage-listed building will enable punters to experience that across multiple levels, with three different rooms across two floors, room-specific lighting concepts, and intimate spaces “designed for discovery”.

Naarm has a reputation for difficulty facing new venue owners. In July of last year, changes were made to Victorian planning schemes that many argue were long overdue. By taking over an existing, well-loved building, Eat The Beat hopes to bring its flourishing fanbase into a whole new era. Utilising existing space and shifting from event-based programming to curating a multi-space environment is not only well-timed for Eat The Beat but, in many ways, for their city, too.

Eat The Beat’s launch of this new space is scheduled for Saturday, May 16.
