Dayshift announces first-ever interstate expansion

Dayshift is a self-described daytime community dance party, run as a collaborative effort between some of Gadigal Land/Sydney's most trusted crews. Big Ting Recordings, Bouki, DUNJ & Extra Spicy have, for going on three years now, dedicated themselves to the production, curation, and affordable admission to see some of the world's most standout UK club culture-aligned artists.

That focus now sees the team bringing its signature energy and bass-heavy sound to two cities for the first time.

Following two seasons, Dayshift crosses state lines into Naarm/Melbourne for a double-header to launch their much-anticipated third season, at Naarm's The Industrique on Friday, October 18, and at their home of the Sydney Portugal Community Club on Friday, October 25.

This sees the crew delivering two near identical lineups across each city, with a commitment to both internationally recognised names and stand-out local selectors.

Globally, heavyweights like UK funky pioneer Roska, as well as Fonzo, Sobolik, Holloway and Yemz are all set to take the stage across both venues.

For Naarm, Dayshift has tapped the likes of Brown Suga Princess, Rita Bass, Della and Stormn Norm, and Coldpast to play, with Dayshift founders Mincy and Killjoy set to run it back-to-back. At home on Gadigal Land, Fuchsia, King Henry, Laytx, and Odd Socks will play to a hometown crowd.

Dayshift's move to Naarm clearly demonstrates the hunger for UK-aligned bass music across the two states, and the trust that the group has garnered in such a short time. This is no doubt due to its programming, and it has spared no expense on providing high-end and high-quality sound systems for each event.

Its previous two seasons have featured sound from trusted local names, including Buzz Speaker Hire, Translate, Submerge, the Inner West Reggae Disco Machine and Safari Park. It remains to be seen who or what Dayshift will use to soundtrack this exciting foray into Naarm's incredibly bustling local scene.

Tickets for both events are on sale now.

Naarm/Melbourne: Friday, October 18 (Tickets)
