Club 77 launches CSS, an independent booking and touring agency
The team behind the Gadigal Land/Sydney nightclub has launched the company, which will represent five local DJs and producers while bringing Move D and Tarzsa to Australia in November.
Club 77Club 77 has expanded beyond its own four walls with the launch of CSS, an independent booking agency, event promoter and touring company.
The Darlinghurst basement, one of Gadigal Land/Sydney’s longest-running nightclubs for around three decades, has seen huge growth in 2026 alone, just months after it reopened following a major redevelopment to improve accessibility.
Late last week, the venue shared this latest update, announcing that CSS would launch with a roster of five artists. Drawn from the city’s more ‘community-oriented’ corners and 77’s own stage, CSS welcomes Barney Kato, Barney in the Tunnel, Mazzacles, Phil Smart and Reenie, with the team saying further signings will be announced later.
Outside of this immediate local representation, CSS’ international touring program is set to launch next month with visits from German DJ and producer Move D, as well as Manchester selector Tarzsa.
CSS will be headed up by 77’s own Dane Gorrel, along with Mac Weily and 77’s Event Manager and venue Creative Director Gabrielle White.
Speaking about the launch, Weily said: "CSS is a natural extension of what we've always done at Club 77: back artists we believe in and bring people together through music. We want to give our roster the support to grow on their own terms, while bringing renowned and emerging international DJs and live acts to Australian dancefloors."
