Boorloo’s Inhibit launches ‘THE NEXUS’, a celebration of homegrown D&B

Boorloo/Perth-promoter Inhibit has set out to prove that Australia's drum and bass scene is on an international scale with the announcement of ‘THE NEXUS’, a brand-new touring concept built entirely around its homegrown talent.

Set to take place in five cities across the country this winter, THE NEXUS aims to showcase Boorloo’s knack for dnb for all to see.

Rather than the usual headliner-support structure, THE NEXUS builds its tour around back-to-back sets, pairing up a variety of its scene’s names for a practised and considered chemistry that usually only comes from hometown shows.

Throughout the tour, there are a wide variety of collaborations between artists like Olympia Nahtalia and Strawbreezy, Flowidus with Ekko and Sidetrack, Don Darkoe with BLKOUT, Seshka and Charley Quinn, Cece, Kate Savage and Artinium, as well as many more.

In sharing their excitement on the announcement, Inhibit shared:

“The tour is named after the concept of a nexus, a central point where people, ideas and energy converge. The tour represents a deliberate shift in focus toward recognising the quality of Australian artists at a time when the local scene has never been stronger.”

At a time when Australia has increasingly become a must-do in any artist’s international touring schedule, THE NEXUS hopes to emphasise the need to support our locals. Perth is closer to Bali than it is to Sydney, and if an initiative like this says anything, it’s that Australia is a big place more than worth paying attention to.
