aya annnounces Hyperdub return with second album, 'hexed!'
Following up from the critically-acclaimed 2021 debut 'im hole', the experimental artist has teased the project with new single 'off to the ESSO'.
aya has shared details of her second album, 'hexed!', set to land on Hyperdub next month.
The follow up to her critically-acclaimed 2021 debut', 'hexed!' will see Yorkshire-born experimental artist deviate away from the "romanticised" vision of "afters-hopping and key bag circles" put forth in 'Im hole' — describing the new record as what happens when "aya puts the lights on."

The new record will be available via digital formats and vinyl on March 28, and will see aya reference a wide-array of genres — from SOPHIE's 'Product' to late-'90s Slipknot.
aya announced 'hexed!' via an Instagram post on Thursday (January 30), writing "this has been a very very hard record to make
i hope you like it."
To give audiences a preview of the new project, aya has also released the first single from the record 'off to the ESSO' — a keening bass track that pairs up a world-shattering crescendo with spine-tingling rap howl.
