A DJ and producer known for their love of nostalgia provides a playlist designed for overcoming the festival blues.

Willo is no stranger to the post-festival blues. Having played on some of Australia's biggest stages, Willo is a DJ and producer knowingly injecting nostalgia into just about everything she does.

This summer, Willo's future nostalgia is set to come via summer-soaked appearances at Beyond The Valley and Wildlands, no doubt similarly filled with that same kind of softness and dance floor euphoria she strives for.

To help soothe sore heads, not only post-NYE but as festival season kicks off right now, Willo has put together a playlist of some of her favourite post-festival unwinders to prove that Tuesday doesn't have to be so terrible.

Listen to the playlist via Apple Music.

Luuk Van Dijk - 'Everything'

New Luuk has me. I chose this to open the unwind because it’s fresh but feels like I’ve known it forever. Soft enough to ease out of the rave with just enough pace to keep the car rolling. Great for the long ride home when you can just listen, breathe and reminisce on wholesome DF moments with your mates.

Katcha - 'Touched By God (7" Edit)'

A forever favourite with 1999 warmth all over it. The chants and spoken word in the breakdown feel like that exact moment you spot your crew at sunset. You can unwind and reminisce the dancefloor without going too heavy.

Panthera Krause - 'Umami'

Been rinsing this for years. It works everywhere, so it had to be here. Warm percussion, loopy synths and an insane bassline that locks the car into a gentle groove.

Genius Of Time - 'Sunswell'

One of the best. Lush pads that wash in like a tide. Simple, warm, perfectly paced for the drive home. It’s the feeling of salt water on your skin after three days of sweat, sunburn and strobes.

Reflekt, Delline Bass - 'Need To Feel Loved (Radio Edit)'

One of my favourite vocals. KETTAMA sampled it, so I’ve dropped a different take here to relive the euphoria in a calmer way. It doesn’t chase a peak. It just wraps around you. Familiar, tender and the right pace to move you through the motions.

Tame Impala - 'End Of Summer'

I’m loving Kev’s housey lane, so something from the new album had to be here. A psychedelic sway with the right pulse. Perfect for packing up the tent barefoot and thinking about the rave without re-entering it.

TV Girl, George Clanton - 'Summer 2000 Baby'

Had to include George Clanton. Pure dream-pop nostalgia. The massive, warm piano scratches the itch for those festival peak moments, but at a lovely 100 BPM it’s perfect for that last stretch home when conversation fades and you need an energetic, dopamine-drenched vocal to lift you.

Headache - 'That thing with The Rabbit'

Left-field and a little cheeky. Introspective without the spiral. I chose this track because you can unwind to the synths but lock into Headache’s obscure and weirdly specific lyrics. It makes you feel something without getting too heavy.

Tibi Dabo - 'Licht'

A roller I could loop forever. I’ve played it in sets, but it belongs on the unwind so you can soak up all the textures. Feels like gliding into golden hour: steady drums, an earworm synth line, and little stabs that keep your brain engaged while the body relaxes.

Willo - 'watching a memory'

Closing track from my 'Watching A Memory' mixtape, written exactly for the festival-unwind moment. It’s like a reflective comedown postcard, with synths that flicker like photos and memories from the last few days.

ATRIP, TeaMarr - 'I Feel Amazing'

This track makes me feel everything. It’s like a midnight NYE kiss in slow motion. A perfect song to soak up the gratitude while you still long for the moment you just had.

Vegyn, Air - 'Le voyage de Pénélope (Vegyn Version)'

First heard this flying into Sydney after a big night. I was looking over the water glistening on the harbour, and it felt like the plane was gliding along with the synths. Genuinely felt like I was hovering… but that was just the moment my hangover finally left my body.

So it’s the perfect closer: a final rinse for the senses, everything dissolves, and you’re ready to be human again.
