Ahead of this year's Wildlands instalments in Boorloo/Perth & Meanjin/Brisbane, we put a list together on who we're most excited to hear from.

Only a matter of weeks out, it’s understandable that preparation for New Year’s is almost at the point of eclipsing Christmas plans. The heat is undeniably rising, and with it, the pressure to decide how and where your dancing is best spent.

This year, for dancers in Meanjin/Brisbane and Boorloo/Perth, that choice includes Wildlands Festival, back once again across both cities.

Mixmag ANZ is so pleased to be partnering with Wildlands on this year’s event and, with that, to bring to light some of the sets we anticipate will be the most hyped across both iterations.

That list includes:

LUUDE

One of Australian drum & bass’ most modern visionaries, Luude has built a career on understanding the genre better than most outside of its birthplace in the UK. Outside of his more ‘viral’ tracks, that has meant a laundry list of big collaborations and a consistency near unrivalled among his peers.

CASSIAN

An increasingly impossible-to-ignore cornerstone of Australian dance’s global image, Cassian’s productions, dedicated to emotional, lush soundscapes, have grabbed the attention of fans outside of electronic music’s usual scope. Having continued to improve on his much-revered live set, his Wildlands appearance is sure to be a spectacle no matter where you sit musically.

RONA.

One of Australia’s most visionary new producers has had a meteoric 2025. RONA’s dedication to storytelling not only across her releases but in her performance has captivated audiences not only around the country but globally, too. Her Wildlands performances will cap off a year that we can’t wait to look back on, a little further down the line.

FCUKERS

New York-based duo FCUKERS have become one of 2025’s global dance success stories, bringing an energy to their productions and performances that feels like the long-awaited return of Indie Sleaze. In a moment when many DJs have never been more polished, we hope their set can offer a messy alternative.

MISS KANINNA

Lutriwita/Tasmanian-born rapper Miss Kaninna’s rise has been near unstoppable, with an incredible debut album, an ARIA nomination, and consistent sell-out shows supporting Amyl & The Sniffers all within the one year. Her set will present a welcome change of pace amongst the Wildlands lineup, albeit no less energetic.

MINCY

Label head of Extra Spicy and Dayshift founder Mincy has had her biggest year yet in 2025. With countless performances both at home and abroad, she’s refined not only her skill as a performer but also as a producer, and it’s shown. A Gadigal Land/Sydney local, we recommend anyone not from her hometown to pay her sets a visit anytime.
