Our most anticipated sets for Strawberry Fields '25
As the weather warms and festival season kicks in, Mixmag ANZ is heading back to Strawberry Fields to celebrate the artists that make the festival what it is.
NOTE: Mixmag ANZ is Strawberry Fields' media partner for 2025.
Summer is officially on the horizon.
Only a matter of weeks away, the celebration of summer is already kicking off. Doof season is just about upon us, with the picture of summer, a half-soaked ankle gently tapping barefoot to huge subfrequencies, almost a reality.
For us here at Mixmag ANZ, Summer means doing what we love best, and attending the events we love most. Only a year into publication, we’re so excited to be partnering with none other than Strawberry Fields as their dedicated media partner, telling all sorts of stories both on the ground and in the lead-up, and even taking over its iconic Beach Stage on Friday of this year.
So, to celebrate that & the summer to come, we thought we’d share who we’re most excited to see at this year’s sold-out event. With no shortage of incredible local and international acts, there’s always an undeniable reason why we’re so excited to head along.
DAMEEEEELA
Mixmag ANZ’s first-ever Cover Artist, dameeeela, is an expert at bringing energy, with a career’s worth of experience to show for it. Huge dancefloor moments are aplenty when she’s in control, from trap throwbacks to club-focused anthems, and we couldn’t recommend it more to anyone.

MAZZACLES
Mazzacles sits among Gadigal Land/Sydney’s most exciting new local selectors. With a laundry list of incredible support slots to her name, her appearance will bring an air of experience and taste not often found among people her age.
ANU
London-based Anu is one of NTS’ most trusted hosts, known for her incredibly versatile range of musical influences. From nostalgia-driven Bollywood soundtracks to globe-trotting soul and big party anthems, we expect to find it all when she takes the stage.
BABY J
Baby J is a Boorloo/Perth originating DJ taking the more viral end of dance music by storm. Known for edit-heavy mixes garnering huge attention across her TikTok, we’re excited to see what she brings to a festival known more for its shift away from “what’s hot”.
ANDY GARVEY B3B MAMA SNAKE B3B DJ SCORPION
There’s little convincing to be done for a 3-2-b between two of Australia’s most practised and one of techno’s most exciting international names. This is set to be one of the biggest of the weekend, maybe the year, we’re calling it now.
MYLES MAC B2B DJ POSSUM
The masterminds behind Melbourne Deepcast, there’s no better place to be across Strawberry for forward-thinking, moody listening. From soulful atmosphere to transcendental club cuts, this is a set to get deep into.
NAYCAB
With a background as a writer for screen & publication, Naycab’s sets are about building narrative, and the relationship between the DJ as performer and audience as community. After catching their takeover of the Beach Stage last year, we’re excited to see what stories they tell this November.
CIRCLE OF LIVE (feat. ALBRECHT LA'BROOY, MOVE D & SEBASTIAN MULLAERT)
With last year’s Circle Of Live performance still fresh in our minds, this year’s sees Sebastian Mullaert partnering with Analogue Attic heads Albrecht La’Brooy and German icon Move D. All with an ear for stunning melody and use of space, we’re excited to see what sense of place this collaboration will create.
WILSON TANNER
Relatively fresh off the back of the release of their third record, ‘Legends’, Wilson Tanner will bring the “wine-soaked agricultural fantasy” in which that record was written. Having seen them use an oversized balloon to dazzling effect at Phoenix Central Park earlier this year, we’re excited to relive the unhurried synergy of these two friends.
DJ PGZ & YIKES
Since the release of their collaborative EP ‘Come Round’ on Butter Sessions earlier this year, we’ve been waiting for a chance to see these two throw it down at the same time. This is one set from the weekend you really can’t afford to miss.
KOKOROKO
London-based afrobeat 8-piece KOKOROKO are renowned for their delivery of electrifying performances and irresistibly dancey moments. Set to grace Strawberry’s growing live music stage, this is a must-see for anyone not firmly rooted to the floor of more dancey pastures.
LADY SHAKA
Mixmag ANZ Cover Artist Lady Shaka is, as Aotearoa writer Laura McInnes wrote, “the past, present and future of Pasifika club music.” Having just toured across the globe, including at Glastonbury’s first-ever Pacific Island stage takeover, her set is a moment in time that you’d be silly to miss.

WAX’O PARADISO
Before ducks took to the water, Wax’o Paradiso took to Strawberry’s Beach Stage. This year, the duo are set to lead the charge at Mixmag ANZ’s Friday takeover of that very stage, setting the scene for the weekend to come. “Fun in the sun” finds its home here; take it from us.
GILLES PETERSON
One of the world’s most respected names in both music and radio, Gilles Peterson’s performance at this year’s Strawberry Fields is a rare and crucial opportunity for any fan of music, full stop. Here, we’re ready for a history lesson as much as we are a dance floor.
