Naarm/Melbourne based Crybaby, as the name would suggest, is part of a new generation of Australian artists that truly reflect the openness and emotive sensibilities of younger dancers.

Crybaby has become known for the variety with which she approaches her sets. A diversity that started out almost entirely with hip hop & rnb, but now weaves in everything from prog to trance, dubstep and even some good ol' EDM.

Crybaby, aka Naomi, is in the midst of her first ever debut headline tour. Having recently been announced for October's next Naarm Boiler Room, she's in an incredibly exciting position to say the least.

But when there's excitement, nervousness and so many other emotions flying around, what does an artist listen to?

Thankfully, that question only has to last a moment.

Crybaby has put together a playlist dedicated to 'Mixed Emotions' and given us a run through on why some of her favourite tracks make her feel the way she does.

MAMMOTH., Silentjay, CD - CD's Interlude

This track is honestly a tear-jerker. Off MAMMOTH’s Album, CD’s Luscious vocals and Silentjay’s elite production have made this track one of the best things to come out of so-called Australia.

Major Lazer, Amber Coffman - Get Free

Pure nostalgia. Get Free is an anthem of liberation and yearning, blending reggae influences with electronic beats to create a powerful and emotive track. The lyrics gently express a desire for liberation and personal space which I’m both supppppeer passionate about.

Pretty Girl - Rely (Live Love Laugh Mix)

Queen of emotional club music. Pretty girl never disappoints when it comes to feeling euphoric on the dance floor. With its dreamy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, "Rely" wraps listeners in a cocoon of comforting memories and tender emotions.

Omagoqa - Gqom in London

This is a hard hitter in the club. Omagoqa hit the gas with this one. The heavy basslines and dynamic percussion create a dancefloor-ready atmosphere, perfectly capturing the spirit of Gqom music.

cherry chola - muñeca

Baddies to the front!!!!!! This hip shaker is a boost of confidence and definitely for the hotties. Cherry Cholas charming vocals make this track a necessity in all playlists.
