S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

We’re back again and ready to rumble for round 3! Our first international guest makes an appearance within Carousel… A selector for all the diggers, Ferro is the man of the hour, ready to showcase all the weird & wonderful creations he’s been working on. An illusive showcase of locals rounds the evening out, alongside yet another fresh face to open things up. Like most Dutch exports, they’re synth hungry studio stalwarts. Ferro appears no different as his one love rests within the world of underground electronic music. He’s a dedicated craftsman & frontman for Amsterdam’s VBX, Ferro is undoubtedly one of the most magical men in the industry. He’ll curate an evening of all things wacky, his unique style paving the way for a memorable time within the walls of Carousel as the clock strikes 12. Kemba & Minh get ready to mingle as they share the booth for 2 hours of power after Ferro. They’d tango til Tuesday if they could, but they’re only here for a stint of dirty dancing. Our very own S.A.S.H egg Kemba unites with revered digger Minh to close things out after a sensational session by master Ferro. Lucca Tan saddles up for us once again as he’s settling into life up north. Initially from Melbourne, he’s curated his label with world class references, and he’s ready to take things on head first as he warms the platters for Ferro. As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with After Dark’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.
