S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Round 2 sees an up & coming local originally from Melbourne showcase his signature sound that he’s worked long & hard to achieve. Sandwiched between an array of locals, the team will supply what is most certainly in demand: Tunes. Melbourne raised yet Sydney showman, Pistaccio has made a racket with his productions in the land of the underground for quite some time now. Delicious rollers with hints of sugar & spice, his studio work has been picked up by some of the industry's front runners. Funky, housey & all things fun, Pistaccio is a name to most certainly become familiar with. André Müller & Frans are a tasty treat wrapped in fun sized packaging. They’ve got to groove to keep things going into the early morning, and will most certainly deliver. They’re seasoned selectors who’ve played in & around Sydney for quite some time & we’re excited to have them jump back into the saddle for another night of grooves. With an impressive session last time they were in the saddle, Dingo returns for another lap around the track. A mixture of deep house, minimal & old school movers, he’s stealing babies and unknown ID’s to keep his game fresh and ready for whatever the situation may be. As always, our focus for homegrown talent is a must, and with After Dark’s goal to expand our community, the opening slot is on offer to a fresh new face to saddle up on the horse. Announced weekly, an eager jockey will take control of the club to kick things into gear for the evening.
