S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Sunday rolls around once again, and the only thing that’s left to do is dance our way into the new week with a hot of the press UK export, & our very own yellow horse jockey. Nathan Pinder makes his way over from the UK & head horse honcho Kerry Wallace returns from the mystical land of Europe. Hailing from the UK is man with a magical touch, on point productions & a knack for all things groove. Nathan Pinder has been around for a number of years, and has shined through the light via his work with Arcadia Sounds and the Eastfield Swing project. We welcome him to the land down under with open arms, and cannot wait to see what he’s got in his locker. S.A.S.H head honcho Kerry Wallaces also sets foot back in the land of Oz after a little trip through the land abroad. A master of all things deep & groovy, Kerry will grace the luscious system Carousel has to offer. To continue our reunited theme, our very own Kemba will take control of the spaceship and steer it into the early hours of the morning to close out the night. Another recent trip overseas will see him return to our shores with a lust for powerful groove. Audio aficionado Alex Ludlow comes back to Carousel for another stint in the red room, and Eric Carney steps up to deliver some proper deep rollers for his S.A.S.H debut.
