S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

As quickly as the weekends go, they come back around again, and this one is no different. This Saturday we're swinging on into our favourite pink paradise, Stanley's, for another rendition of S.A.S.H SOCIAL, now set up out in the back garden with our beloved purple Funktion ones and a stellar lineup of DJs, diggers, selectas and dance-floor directas. This week we welcome our Brazilian brothers, RaW, to the floor for a couple hours of pure power in the top slot. UK expat, but Brazilian at heart, Sansom slots into the sunset session before the brothers take the stage, with Alfio & Marcel making there mark on the garden just beforehand. Dodz & Binksy round out the lineup for this week, ensuring the floor is properly warmed with those get down-lo, go-slo, deep house groovers.
