S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

In what can only be described as Déjà vu, we’ve been blessed with a double long weekend, for the second time this year. Much like Easter and Anzac, Boxing Day & NYD have been blessed with falling on the most sacred days of the year, sort of. By the time the dust settles from the boxing day long weekend SlapFunk bonanza, Apollonia will already be striding into Home The Venue with record bags in tow and the cheekiest smiles you’ve ever laid eyes on. The best of the best in their own right, we’ve been touring them individually for years, but to be able to bring them together as a trio has been at the top of the bucket list since we first started running S.A.S.H, all those years ago. They’ll be getting deeper, dirtier, grimier and grittier than ever before with us in The Lair at Home The Venue for another extended set.
