S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Blessed be the year 2023! The gods have smiled upon us in the year 2023, with the inaugural day of the year falling on the most sacred day of the week, Sunday. Given the enormity, and rarity of such an occasion we’ve decided to go all out, spare no expense and deliver the single greatest experience we ever dared attempt. Apollonia have been at the forefront of the house music scene since their amalgamation in 2012. The trio, composed of Dyed Soundorom, Shonky, and Dan Ghenacia are all world class in their own right, and we have been bringing them individual to Australia for S.A.S.H for years, now it’s time to bring them together as Apollonia. In case that wasn’t already enough firepower for a New Year's Day event, Binh has also been enlisted to rock heavy in The Chapel. Stepping into support for this absolute mammoth of a day we’ve taken a slice of Marlie pie and an extra dash of Mantra Collective to The Open-Air Greenwood Terrace and The Chapel respectively. If ever there was a time to dust of your dancing shoes, don your best party shirt and throw caution to the fucking wind, it’s 2023 baby.
