-------------------------------------------------------- ★ S.A.S.H Newcastle ★ Launch Party ★ Ferro ★ King’s Birthday Long Weekend ★ Sat 10th June ★ --------------------------------------------------------- Every time we launch in a new city or announce an interstate event, there is a small but very vocal group of you kicking and screaming for us to make the humble trip up North to Newcastle. Well, we heard your calls, and the time is now, as we present the launch of S.A.S.H in Newcastle in the open-air courtyard of The Lucky Hotel. We’re filling the place with a full D&B sound system and sending some of our most trusted in tow to ensure the scene is set and the setting is serene. To kick Newcastle into 6th gear Ferro is the international guest entrusted with bringing the heat and leaving the roof in ruins. Ferro’s sound comes caked in a vintage dust, sounding as though his beats have been maturing in a draw before being unleashed on the world. They are percussive while organic, warm and inviting. It is Ferro’s lasting goal to make all of his music using genuine hardware and fully analogue tools. Fairly young still, but definitely not new to the game, Ferro is clearly walking his own path. Being the frontman and A&R of VBX, an Amsterdam-based record label which also hosts its own events. Aside from this, he performs across the globe at events like HYTE, Kiesgrube, Unusual Suspects and FUSE London, for whom he plays on a regular basis. Assembling alongside the Dutch dynamite, we’ve asked our very own Kemba to make his merry way up the pacific highway and fly the yellow flag from Sydney, with Newcastle expat Ben Pailas and all-time selecta Just Shai rounding out the afternoons proceedings. As always, you bring your dancing shoes and we’ll provide the rest.
