S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Standing at the arse of the year and looking back at 2023 and the memories and moments we’ve shared; we’ve changed stables a couple of times, and opened the new doors at Carousel, we’ve welcomed the likes of Enzo Siragusa, Margaret Dygas, Voigtmann and Raresh amongst a whole host of others. We’ve hopped across to Perth and Byron Bay, down to Melbourne and up to Cairns. We’ve even ventured just up the highway to the Central Coast and Newcastle as well as visiting old friends in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We went back to Europe, made our mark at ADE alongside our good friends Half Baked. We shook hands with Milan, Zurich, Berlin, Barcelona and Bali, and we’ve set the scene for 2024 to be our biggest year yet. We’ve met a heap of new locals and revisited our old favourites, but to farewell it all off, we’ve saved our biggest guest till the very last night of the year - Sonja Moonear. Relaxed about publicity, slick behind the decks and, with a keen eye for the dance floor, Moonear now ranks among dance music's most in-demand selectors, with a versatile and rhythmic style that takes in a broad cross-section of house, techno and minimal. She will be welcoming us into the new year inside the walls of our beautiful Carousel Bar and Ballroom, awash in the red lights and engulfed by the precisely tuned sound of the 33 Funktion One speakers that make up the state-of-the-art system throughout.
For this event we will be doing something a little different and offering two different ticketing packages; ★★ Open Bar Package ★★ For those who have their priorities set, and want to splurge to make the night even more special, there is a higher tier ticket. With this ticket, you will receive a glass of champagne on arrival, be granted access to the back-stage area alongside the VIP room which will accommodate a private, open bar for the whole night (house beer, wine, and spirits) with shorter waiting times. ★★ General Admission Ticket ★★ General Admission entry to the event and access to standard areas – dancefloor, main bar, lounge bar.
