S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years.
Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.”
The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend.
Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties.
Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

S.A.S.H returns to kick off the long weekend with international heavyweights Janeret and Seb Zito bringing the energy, joined by local support from PULSE and Revolver Fridays regulars.
Janeret:
Janeret is known for crafting music that deeply resonates with listeners, blending emotional depth with vibrant energy. His sound balances dance floor-driven rhythms with atmospheric textures, drawing from house, dub, breakbeat, jungle, and dnb while maintaining a distinctive sonic identity recognized across the global electronic scene.
A celebrated producer, Janeret has released acclaimed EPs on labels including Yoyaku, Aku, Joule, Berg Audio, and FUSE, earning a reputation as a “purchase-on-sight” artist among dedicated collectors and selectors. His consistently refined output evolves with each release while staying true to the signature sound that has captivated dancers worldwide.
Seb Zito:
Seb Zito sits at the heart of the global underground scene, shaped by over 30 years immersed in rave culture, pirate radio, UK house, garage, minimal, and techno. Drawing from this broad musical background, he crafts sets that balance high-impact dancefloor energy with emotional depth and memorable moments.
His sound has taken him from intimate basements to major clubs and festivals worldwide, including Space Miami, FUSE, Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Studio 338, and elrow. In the studio, Seb is known for groove-led productions released on leading electronic labels, continually pushing beyond genre boundaries to keep dancers engaged and surprised.
