S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

The June long weekend is just around the corner and along with it comes a plentiful plethora of perilous performers. We've decided to double down on the celebrations and joined forces with our good pals Waves. Having last got down and dirty together to present SlapFunk in Melbourne, this time we're mixing new school with the (kind of) old school - excuse the language CV. Voigtmann is a luminary of Berlin's pulsating electronic music scene. He expertly commands attention with his enigmatic presence both behind the decks and within the studio. Known for his genre-defying prowess, Voietmann seamlessly weaves intricate tapestries of sound, effortlessly melding elements of house, techno, and minimal into spellbinding sonic odysseys. His co-star on this Southern adventure? A rising star from the true house music mecca of the world - France, Man/Ipulate burst onto the scene in 2020, following the global shutdown. Months on end in lockdown allowed many artists the time and space required to really dig deep into their creativity, and Man/Ipulate is a perfect example. With a production level far exceeding his apparent experience, and a show roster that many couldn't dream of achieving, Man/Ipulate is one of the most exciting up and coming artists of the modern era. The entrée for the evenings delicacy, Eddie Guy steps smoothly into the warmup, to deliver 2 hours of low-slung, well-hung deep, dirty house music.
