S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

It’s hard to comprehend just how long this little soiree has been going on. 13 years is an incredibly long time for any brand to be up and running, especially in Australia where there have been so many hurdles and hoops to jump on, over and through. Finally, into our teenage years, we’re beginning to feel a little rebellious. We’re incredibly grateful to be able to do what we do and it’s during our birthday celebrations that we really get to let our hair down and throw the best parties possible; and this is one of them! With a sound born in New York, ripened in London and refined in Berlin, Margaret Dygas is an artist whose sound possesses a true international resonance. Following her move to Berlin in 2007, Margaret started producing and writing her own music, and has since then released EP’s and full-length albums on Contexterrior, PowerShovelAudio, Perlon and Non Standard Productions. With her broad musical background fuelling her desire for electronic experimentation within her music, her productions and dj-sets incorporate the deep and dub-influenced sound she loves, whilst retaining the driving funk of her musical past. Taking us well into the evening as the sun goes down, Alexia Glensy sets the stage and get us all ready for the Queen of the underground. One of the most exciting new prospects to step onto the international stage, Alexia, while young, is already one of the most respected selectas amongst the best of the best. With some of the best local talent on support it’s going to be a birthday to remember. Now who’s got the cake? As usual, you bring your dancing shoes, and maybe a second pair, we’ll provide the rest! See you on the dance floor x ★★ Margaret Dygas ★★ ★★ Alexia Glensy ★★ Local Lineup To Be Announced
