S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Following successive sold out S.A.S.H in the Street parties - we return to Thomas Street this October Long Weekend for another Open Air showcase in the heart of Sydney city. We're delighted to reveal the full lineup for the third instalment of S.A.S.H in the Street this October Long Weekend! Dungeon Meat makes a long-awaited return to Sydney alongside one of Australia's finest exports in Reflex Blue who makes his way back to Sydney, joined by Slapfunk regulars Georgia & Ron Obvious. Tickets are already onto Second Release - don't miss out! Our third instalment of S.A.S.H in the Street is made that extra bit special as we join forces with our Dutch friends in celebration of Slapfunk's 15th Anniversary World Tour. Much like us, these guys know how to put on a rave, running the city of Amsterdam and beyond for 15 exciting years. We've put our heads together and selected the perfect lineup to represent both S.A.S.H & Slap dancefloor values. Time to put it to practice!
