S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

It seems like only yesterday we were bouncing around the walls of The Northern with our good pal Traumer. Now, come Saturday 5th October we’re dusted off our dancing shoes and donning our best party shirts to do it all again. DJ Duo, Record Shop, Party, Label, & Podcast – our guests this time around can do it all, but their history and lore and what really set them apart. Berlin, 2015. Local authorities receive reports of a mysterious white van parked up around the city. House music can be heard from within while a queue of people waits in line. It’s called The Ghost, and now nearly a decade on, what was once a covert mobile record shop has grown to become a powerhouse of its own in our underground universe. The Ghost (Josh Tweek & James Creed) are known for playing hard-to-find tracks, records you may never hear again, which gives their sets a distinct sense of presence and a blink-and-you'll-miss it urgency. Their mixing is flawless and unobtrusive, leaving room for the tracks to play out in full and giving the duo plenty of time to ponder what to prescribe the crowd next. Their music is dynamic and rousing, with a deep, captivating sense of groove. Joining the lords of the underground in our seaside town, a serious cast of local & interstate diggers forms together one of our favourite S.A.S.H Byron lineups to date. Iain yes swings back through for another S.A.S.H shindig, and is tasked with the nerve-wracking job of setting the scene and warming the floor for The Ghost, whilst Luca Attanasio flies in from Sydney to keep the energy high and brings things to a close at the end of the night. The ravenous Raki enters stage to provide deep grooves to warm the floor... As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
