S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

We're back in Byron, & back like never before! Much like our dear friends down in Sydney; we'll be taking Byron on a full trip of what we have to offer, S.A.S.H By Day & S.A.S.H By Night! An illusive return to our roots see's us reunite with Arts Factory Garden Bar for a special S.A.S.H By Day in Byron. We'll relish in the sunlight with a curated list of groovers before heading across to our second home in the area, The Northern, where we'll kick on' into the early hours of Sunday morning! Our session in the sun features noneother than Djeabli & MADVILLA, some of the grooviest producers about, and they most certainly know how to work a dancefloor. From lustful rollers to proper room shakers, these two know how to get things going and will do so in fine fashion. Perfect Parisian, Djebali, has been a name circulating dance floors across the world for quite some time now. A reveered musician & true master of his craft, we look forward to welcoming him back to the beautiful land of Byron Bay. Fresh face but returning to the horse, MADVILLA joins the ride as he settles in for a moonlight session. Another studio fanatic, MADVILLA has been churning out groovers, with a recent release on Global Swing makin' our hips shake. They'll be joined by S.A.S.H Captain: Kerry Wallace, alongside local selector LIZA. A fine crew to complete the bill with strictly grooves rolling throughout the day. With the conclusion of By Day, the party doesn't stop as we roll things into the afters at The Northern for S.A.S.H Byron By Night. Both of our illustrious guests will be doubling down and heading into town for the after party. We know is they'll keep you up until the break of dawn, ready to tackle whatever's thrown your way.
