S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Big bad Byron Bay birthday bash brings beautiful bomb-bowler Dyed Soundorom to celebrate our 14th birthday. The world-class disc-jockey has a history of showing up and throwing down, so we’ve brought him back to come up the coast with us for a cheeky celebration. Dyed’s prior engagements have taken him around the world from club to club, so his musical prowess is unquestionable. After recent appearances with Apollonia and previous birthday affairs, he’s become a fan favourite due to his humble nature and love for the music, allowing his music to do the talking. His knack for hard work and dedication speaks volumes as his musical work allows him to undertake a career that contains various accolades with many more to come. In support of our main man, our very own Kemba trades the metropolitan maze for the boujee beach of Byron. After getting up to get down last November, Kemba returns to Byron to play around and test out some new material. Joining him is home grown talent TOÚSHAY, who’s travel’s have taken her across some of Europe's finest establishments. Back on home soil and she’s raring to go. Opening up the theatre we make way for the minimalist Mattia_mthw, bringing soothing flavours for the early evening. As always, you bring your dancing shoes; and we’ll provide the rest xx
