S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

A fine curation of stripped back selectas and dance floor directas rounds out the penultimate Sunday of Spring, topped off with one of the finest DJ/Producers from the minimal landscape. In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. On duty to ensure our minimal marauder is well warmed and the dancefloor is properly adorned, Dave Stuart & Spontaneous will be making some long, well-thought-out decisions about which smooth grooves to roll on through. Peter Brongo takes us through the later afternoon with Ameer Mikhael making his SASH By Day-but. By night Ben Pailas is back in the booth, rolling deep and delivering a masterclass in how to warm the floor before El Capitan Kerry Wallace takes the stage. Freshly returned from his European adventures, we’re sure he’s got a few new tracks up his sleeve alongside a lively bout of inspiration. Taking us into the wee hours of Monday morning, the close sits safely in the hands of Tezzel & Pol. A recipe fit for a fantastic time, and a very strong dose of the Monday scaries. As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
