S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Oblique & Addition By Subtraction take the helm at Watson’s EQ, with a dubious duo from the land abroad in control, as Carousel plays host to Simon Atkinson for a wiggly night of boozy beats. The daytime reins are taken by London lads: Jhobei and B.Love, two musicians known for their contributions to the ever evolving electronic music scene. Jhobei is known for his innovative approach to electronic music, blending various genres to create dynamic and engaging tracks & B.Love has built a reputation for curating and playing music that keeps the dance floor moving. The Bizarre Trax residents will undoubtedly sail the ship smoothly into dusk. ABS & Oblique head honchos Jason Spyrides and Ben Bracken will operate the tools back in the booth, a delectable treat as they set the stage for Jhobei & B.Love. Local lads Mtty & w:LL wind down in the early afternoon for dynamic duo dance in the booth, with Daants armed up for his S.A.S.H day-but in the sun. As we know, all roads lead to Carousel.. English executive Simon Atkinson shares his love for deep grooves. He’s wiggled his way across dancefloors world-wide, and tees up a tango with dear friend and additional UK expat: Kleo. After a deep & dirty showcase, Simon pairs up with Kleo to take things out into the early hours of Monday morning. Max Panarello joins the bill for his S.A.S.H By Night debut, a wax fanatic who’s honed in on his craft is sure to deliver a perfect entreé before the main course. As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
