S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

The sunny forecourt welcomes Michael James as he’s geared up, armed to the teeth, ready to take the reins of S.A.S.H Day at Watson’s EQ, as he’s back in the saddle in the land down under. Nathan Pinder mans the ship that is Carousel as he makes his return to the stables after a very short hiatus, he's back and ready to groove. Michael James, a familiar face and good mate, is back in Straya and ready to take over the booth at Watson’s EQ. With recent releases on his own label, MOVING PEOPLE, his selection is sure to impress and keep the crowd moving. In support, Carousel’s Dan Baartz steps away from his usual role and joins seasoned veteran WINNY for a solid B2B. Local Yanez is back in sun, this time he'll bring the UV rays to the forecourt whilst Kazzi makes his solo S.A.S.H Day day-but for a laid-back afternoon in the sun. As the sun sets over Watson’s EQ, Carousel sees Nathan Pinder take charge. A skilled producer from the UK, Nathan is known for his magical touch and groove driven productions. With his experience in Arcadia Sounds and Eastfield Swing, he’s brought his talents to Australia, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store. Jack T & Nesso, our good companions who pair for a devious duo take command of the helm, the lads are back bringing their signature sound for a night of pure chaos. Known for their funky cuts and groovy bass lines expect nothing but dance floor demolition, followed by SANSOM who's not shy to get dark and dirty under the infatuating red lights of Carousel.
