S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.
★ S.A.S.H By Day & Night ★ Nils Twachtmann ★ Ritmiq ★ Sunday April 6th ★
The audacious April is underway with a cool, calm & collected Sunday session in Watson's EQ. Nils Twachtmann, our man from Stan heads up to the sunny side of town for a session under the stars in Watson's EQ, whilst local crate digger & cold cut curator Ritmiq takes control of Carousel as he takes it for a spin… Berlin turned Aussie, Nils Twachtmann has a day of celebration in the Watson’s EQ courtyard. The studio stalwart from Stans has an immense love for groove, and the background to prove it. His journeys across the world have been paved by his ability & determination, he is a true master of the craft. He’ll be joined by one of S.A.S.H’s favourite disc jockeys: Sun Archive. He’s played all the big ones, a sleek signature sound, another one who’s mastered the art. Our two masters are joined by a dynamic duo from the land up North, Crolly & Denzy have made a right racket in the new-found world of underground minimal, so they’ll join us once again for a session in the courtyard. Max Pomirski heads in for his S.A.S.H day-but, an under the radar flyer, ready to dish out the low-slung grooves in the early afternoon. Carousel sees a group of pirates take over the venue as Ritmiq takes charge. The man with a conjuring plan, carefully curates some of the local industries most infectious grooves. With multiple releases under his belt & recent record with Motion Potion, Ritmiq is absolutely from a magical realm. He’ll be joined by another studio striver, Ross Mvnro joins to bill to close out the evenings festivities. As he hails from the northern land of Newcastle, Ross has fallen into a deep love with the world of production, & it is a delightful affair. Rafael Lisboa takes stage for a solo endeavour, the Brazilian’s wax is a clean as it gets, with a love for all things electronic, Rafa has us covered to kick start the night… As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
