S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years.
Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.”
The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend.
Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties.
Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

As we slowly come back to life after our huge NYD bonanza and drag our sore legs back into our open air terrace, we had to think long and hard about who could possibly have the power to straighten out our backs and get our heads back up and bopping after Apollonia blew our brains out for 12 hours last Sunday.
Simple Things joins us to take over the terrace, always being trusted to bring the heat from start to finish.
No other than Sun Archive will be taking the reins bringing us his signature day time groovers to close out the day.
The men behind Simple Things, Max Power & Will Collard will be going head to head and toe to toe, always bringing the right soundtrack at the right time to get a dance floor humming.
Tom Faddy will open up the day with some slow slung well hung rollers to set the tone for the afternoon.

1 month has gone by since we have been in the underground of the Oxford Art and rest be assured our Christmas and New Years come downs will not be stopping us picking up from where we left off.
Suttz has done nothing but impress us with his big rolling bombs that have always been a perfect fit in the red lights at OAF, well deserving of the big font to take us into the morning.
Nikola steps back into the arena to provide us with his token sound that we know so well as he graces us with the final hours of our Monday morning madness.
A man we’ve been keeping our eye on for some time, Minh opens up the night with his deep mixed selection of french, housey delights.
