S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

As we see out the final weekend of June we’re joined by an all star cast of knob twisters and fader flickers. SASH By Day sees the return of our man Sunny Chives following his recent ascent to fatherhood. Now a little older, and much wiser, he’s coming back with a bang to deliver 2 hours of power at our North Sydney stables. Adorned in his most perilous pyjamas, Sleepy G will be rolling out of bed and rocking right into Greenwood Hotel. Hammy J jumps back into the action, saddling up to kick us off and get the juices flowing. Across to the factory, and we’re rolling in heavy with Cassette taking out top honours. It’s been a hot minute since our gal Cass has taken control of the platters that matter down in the underground playground that is OAF, so it’s only fitting that she steps in as the clock strikes 12 and the lasers loom large. Sandwiched between our very own Kemba on the close and GECO making his terrace debut, this one is richly dowsed in a deep & housey sauce. As always, you bring your dancing shoes; and we’ll provide the rest. See you on the dance floor xx
