S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

2025! We’re back in action & ready to rumble! After an astounding 2024, we’ve got a big bang ready to go for our first Sunday back in action. We’re off to Watson’s EQ to get our sunshine fix, then continue tradition by galloping over to Carousel for a night-time get down. 2024 saw an array of lineups, so we’ve enlisted Laidlaw to come have some fun in the sun, whilst groove digger Carl H sinks his heels into Carousel’s rumper thumper system for a night of pure delight! Laidlaw has been around the world on countless lineups, sometimes even at the same time! They’re so good that they have the ability to teleport from dancefloor to dancefloor, ready to rip in whenever the opportunity arises. After a breakfast session for NYD, we’re lucky enough to have them at Watson’s EQ for a delightful Sunday session, and wouldn’t have it any other way. WINNY & Alice Burcovich combine forces and unite for a terrific tango in the courtyard. Their individual talents have seen them soar through Sydney, so as a combined duo, these two will definitely cause a ruckus. The dynamic duo that is: Michael Scott, reunites inside the Watson’s booth with an itch for sunlight, groove & all things housey. Watson’s courtyard sees newly found anima mount the horse for daybut of the ages. The new jockey has an array of originals, ready to get you in the mood for the day ahead… The ever-reliable Carousel stable is back at it, taking the horse for another wild spin. This time, the reins are in the hands of the one and only Carl H, who’s ready to dive deep into the grit and grind of the underground. Hailing from the UK, Carl brings his unmistakable groove to the club, setting the stage for a naughty & mischievous night. Rocco rocks up with his arsenal of irresistible records, seamlessly taking over from Carl to keep things strong in the early hours of Monday morning. With the cocktails ready to flow & the lights down low, we've called in Jazz to kick us off with a smooth, sultry opening session. As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
