S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.
★ S.A.S.H By Day & Night ★ Juaan ★ Secret Guest ★ Sunday 7th April ★
After we have picked ourselves up off the floor of the Home The Venue Terrace following a whopping 14th Birthday celebration, we return to our regular weekly ways in the courtyard of Watson’s EQ for the day before ascending the stairs to Carousel’s red-light delight to see out the rest of the night. Joining us this week is one of Argentina’s fasting rising stars, Juaan. The young Argentinian has made an undeniable impact, breaking into scene over the last year. His sound, albeit it explorative, is undeniable ‘house’ at its core. Complimented by an electro, & gritty, tech-house edge, his music can only be described as peak-time. In recent years he has been able to drill down into the more sinister edged weapons that he has become well-known and lauded for. The local contingency comes in the form of the wild wild Windog. WINNY has been a favourite of ours for more than a few years now, slotting soundly into many-a-set. She’s strongly developed her ear, taste and technical touch over the years and is now safely one of Sydney’s most stellar mainstays. Sitting pretty as a pair of peaches, Jack T & Neeso slot in the afternoon’s sun-down slot, laying the building blocks that transform the day from deep to groove. Kalendar rounds out the lineup, making his sash by day-but, and delivering a dash of the deeper style of house music to get us in the mood. Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie, Oi Oi Oi! By Night we bring in Ozzie Guven, the Aussie that never was showcases his UK sound in the dark depths of Carousel, providing badman basslines and delectable delights. Our music mogul is snug as a bug in a rug, warmly wrapped between staunch stalwart Stacie Fields, and fresh-faced Ben Horton. As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
