S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years.
Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.”
The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend.
Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties.
Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Josh’s, Jack’s, Jordan’s… it’s Triple J like you’ve never heard before.
The Baker Boy returns down under to take on the open-air Greenwood courtyard once more. His last appearance here saw him butt heads with the Anzac long weekend and my oh my what a treat it was. This time around he takes on the end of Summer, providing the last bit of heat to our feet.
Originating from Manchester, Josh Baker’s rise through the dance music scene in recent years has been nothing short of spectacular. With years of experience in bakeries and teaching music production, Mr. Baker successfully teaches music to the masses on his platform SynthoHub, so we reckon he knows a thing or 3.
Josh has also curated his now established event brand and label You&Me, which has recently become one of Manchester’s strongest underground parties and has seen some big-name releases on the label. His recent project in Hide&Seek Festival has grabbed the attention of many artists over in the land of Brittania, hosting the likes of Apollonia, Raresh, Sweely, Traumer and Voigtmann to name a few. We are super stoked to be able to witness the hard-workings of Mr. Baker on this special date.
Neighing his way back into the stable we have a man with powerful attributes, Max Power. Keeping it under 9000 and keeping our backyards well-kept, boysterous BERK whips into the afternoon slot. Preceding BERK, Symplicit Sounds kick proceedings off on the sun-stricken Greenwood terrace.
Over to the Southern side of the bridge, Jack T & Neeso wiggle their way into reigning supreme at OAF with golden boys, the Gould Brothers to close out a brotherly affair. Our man Tòmmy, with heaps of turbo, tickles the Terrace tumultuously with his opening regime.
