S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

This week the Snow House gets a very good run for its money with the rough and tough, rag tag duo from the East, The Gould Brothers. Having cut their teeth at every venue, event and rave worth it’s salt, as well as some definitely not worth their salt, these 2 brothers share a true love for the raw and rugged flavours of proper underground tech house. Big acidy basslines reign supreme above subtle silhouetted melodies and deep driving percussion; no one is safe when the brothers step up to the plate. Complimenting the delectable taste of the brothers, our bereft bookkeeper and Wizkid extraordinaire LADCAT takes control of the platters that matter from 6pm before he embarks on his own European adventure. Rounding out the lineup, Dialect are back and speaking in tongues as they curate aural artifacts throughout the sunset session. As we dive down into the warmth of Oxford Art Factory, our captain takes the cake once more, trading out the icy delight of the Igloo the week before for the deep, red darkness of the Factory. It’s a full family affair as big bad Bali Baartz makes his return to close out the night in ecstatic style and emphatic enthusiasm. One of our nearest ‘n’ dearest and most trusted selectas, our boy Dan Baartz can throw down with the best of them. Tacking onto a seriously stellar lineup, Frans makes his Terrace debut, after a string of slick sets that left us more than impressed.
